SPRING RESIDENCY

The residency is a way for makers, designers, artists or architects to dive independently into a technique of their choice connected to ceramics, clay, plaster, or soil. The research will focus on easily accessible materials and develop open source knowledge, that the collective can continue to grow in dialogue with the selected resident.

This call is for you if work is founded on researching and making within a circular process; you wish to grow your knowledge in conversation with our team but you’re independent; you’d like to have a base in Amsterdam to make, think and research. Before the end of the residency, the resident has the opportunity to organise with the team an event to show and share the outcomes of the research.

The residency offers:
– 24h access to the atelier for 2 months
– tools and equipment
– firing (electric only)
– materials to develop your research
– discount on workshops and courses
In exchange, the resident will stay in contact with the community and share his/hers/theirs finding during a weekly clay gym shift (4 hours).

Send your research proposal (max 3 A4 pages) and  your portfolio (max 10 MB) at vuurcollective@gmail.com We’re excited to get to know you!
